Following the meeting of ALROSA’s special commission, the Company President Andrey Zharkov signed an order to give to the fact of a gem-quality diamond extraction the name Mothers of Russia.

ALROSA recovered a 83.59-carat diamond on February 13, 2016, from Yubileynaya pipe. The diamond was extracted by Aikhal Mining and Processing Division at the Processing Plant No. 14. The diamond measures 28 mm by 26.5 mm by 26 mm. The octahedron-shaped crystal is transparent with yellow hue.

The diamond of ‘2 Black Sawables 3 colour’ quality contains small graphite-sulphide inclusions.
